Geelong Jazz and Blues Festival Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (Terms) constitute a binding contract between Geelong Jazz and Blues Festival Inc ABN 23 895 264 660 (we or  us) and the individual holding or using a ticket (Ticketholder or you) to gain admission to the Geelong Jazz and Blues Festival (Festival).

By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to these Terms. These Terms are to be read together with the Humanitix Terms and Conditions available here.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not proceed with purchasing a ticket.

Tickets & Wristbands

You must print your barcoded ticket, or carry it on your phone, and bring it to the Festival. A valid ticket with a barcode must be exchanged for a wristband. Each person must personally have their wristband fitted by us. Wristbands must remain fitted and intact to gain entrance to a Festival venue.

In the case of a lost ticket, you must regenerate your ticket using the Humanitix platform.

Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable.

If we cancel the event we will refund 90% refund of the ticket purchase price, minus booking fee. 10% of the ticket purchase price will be retained to cover operational costs and any artist retainers.

Under 18s

All performances are in licensed venues. Ticketholders under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult (a Ticketholder who is a parent or who is acting in place of a parent or legal guardian and who could reasonably be expected to exercise responsible supervision of the under 18 Ticketholder).  Venues may require valid photo ID for entry.

Resale

You may resell your ticket using the Humanitix website.

Venue and seating capacity

All venues have limited capacity and limited seating. Limited standing room is available, except in the Courthouse Arts venue. Our website will show current real-time capacity for each venue.

Artists and venues

We reserve the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists, vary any advertised program, change venue and vary audience capacity, without notice. No claim for compensation shall be made in the event that the program is varied due to the non-appearance or substitution of an advertised artist.

Recordings

You consent to your inclusion in official photographic, film and other visual and audio recordings of the Festival, and grant us the right to use such photos and recordings for promotion, marketing and other purposes in all media without restriction.

Liability

You are responsible for your own safety and property when attending the Festival, and to the extent permitted by law you release us and any suppliers or agents from any liability from any claim, damage, injury or loss you may suffer in relation to your attendance at the Festival.

We are not liable for any claim, damage, compensation, loss or expense that may be suffered or incurred as a result of an event being cancelled, postponed or changed.

General

Any reference in these Terms to Geelong Jazz and Blues Festival, we or us, includes its officers, employees, contractors, volunteers and authorised persons.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
